Matching is an important classification skill for preschoolers. Matching helps us identify the same or similar objects based on their common properties. They also help to develop fine motor skills with drawing lines from one item to the next as well as the skill of holding a pencil. These 5 free color & match printable worksheets have been made in black and white so after the items have been matched the child can color them in. We have simple matching printable worksheets and a couple of slightly more complicated ones on numbers and letters for slightly older children.

Our girls adore rabbits so this free printable was a must. I was interested to see that Miss 5 who had completed this sheet without help decided to color in the rabbits in matching colors. Draw a line to match the rabbits and then color. Matching colors or not any child who adores rabbits will love this matching sheet.

Get children thinking about fruit and healthy eating with this fun fruit themed color and matching printable worksheet. Another simple worksheet that young children will enjoy.
3. Color & Match Monster Numbers
Use the same color to color-in the matching monster numbers. Lines are optional here but they always add to the fun. This printable worksheet could be quite tricky for young children so help will be needed.
